J2EE Developer

Hot new Silicon Valley start up looking for strong developers to add to our already talented and experienced team. J2EE development experience wanted to create interactive web application and rich Internet content supporting the migration of legacy applications to cloud computing.

Preferred Technical Skills:

Strong understanding of Java and J2EE (EJBs, JMS, JSP)
Knowledge of J2EE application servers
Knowledge of open source projects: Hibernate, Struts, Spring, Velocity
Working knowledge of RDBMS such as Oracle, MySQL and/or PostgreSQL
General understanding of XML (SAX, DOM, STAX) and Web Services (SOAP, WSDL)
Knowledge of other languages: Python, C#, C++, Ruby, Perl

Non-technical Skills:

Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to work independently in a fast paced environment.

Experience/Education:

Candidates should have between 4-10 years of application development experience, as well as at least a bachelors degree in an appropriately related field; master’s preferred.

Employment Classification: Direct Hire

Hours: Normal Business Hours; Willingness to travel up to 10% of time.
