Data Virtualization Server (DVS)

The Queplix Data Virtualization Server (QDVS) is designed to scale from deployments as small as 3 data repositories to well over 1000 data repositories through the deployment of one or more of the appliance models.

Key Capabilities

  • Connector Library: An extensive library of pre-built connectors to most major enterprise data-intensive transactional applications, such as CRM, ERP, CSM, PSM, etc.
    • Connectors allow the DVS to connect to the source and identify source-specific objects out of the box
    • Connectors contain information about the source meta-data, security and object definitions as well as the application-defined structures to correctly identify and globalize any custom created objects
  • QueCrawler: Connect and crawl the various sources without displacement, disruption or creating performance overhead on the source system.
    • Ability to specify crawling parameters ; schedule either on demand or real time
  • Data Publishing API: Publish globalized data securely to consuming applications through standard SOAP API. The globalized data appear as a single and secure data source.
    • Abstract and Globalize business objects – Publish data objects in form of views and procedures for consumption via ODBC, JDBC or ADO.NET.Web Services
    • Supports XML over HTTP - Allows for interjection of custom logic during the request/response phase of the Web service.
    • Packaged Apps - Connect to packaged enterprise apps using our pre built library of connectors and export to any application using its own API.
    • Data Synchronization between applications enforces data quality measures.
  • Data Access Security: Apply and audit Access Control Lists extracted from original sources and globalized across the enterprise data on a per-user/attribute level.
    • Extracts ACL from original data sources
    • Globalizes common access rules across the enterprise data
    • Enforces source security on a per-user/attribute level
    • Reports  data access exceptions indicating when common objects have security conflicts in sources systems
    • Real-time data access audit and logging for compliance reporting
  • Authentication: Mutual authentication for published services, web service data sources and databases.
    • LDAP and AD integration
    • Leverage third-party systems for authentication, such as RBACK or Siteminder.
    • Late Binding – Use existing user ID and password to pass through to DVS for authentication or use the DVS catalogue for authentication
