For the business development executive with a proven track record of building strategic revenue-generating partner relationships within the Enterprise Search, CRM/ERP and SaaS content provider spaces, your next opportunity awaits you at Queplix. Queplix is defining the Data Virtualization space with our Secure Data Virtualization platform. Intelligence gained from our consulting background and traditional application consolidation and migration business has lead to the development of the next virtualization paradigm. We were founded in 2005 and recently changed to a software based platform delivering data virtualization solutions. Our Queplix Secure Data Virtualization (QSDV) products, continuously aggregates and analyzes relevant corporate data from disparate sources to deliver access to content securely through enterprise search engines, business intelligence and other software applications.
As the VP, Business Development for Queplix, based in our Sunnyvale headquarters, your mission will be to deepen existing relationships with Enterprise Search, Application Developer and SaaS organizations, while identifying, prioritizing, and closing additional strategic and tactical relationships. Your proven track record of analyzing market information, developing strategic plans and tactically executing upon those plans will allow you to shape our future partner direction. Building upon your previous experience selling enterprise software solutions, you will work closely with our Sales Organization to ensure that our resources and efforts are appropriately aligned between our direct sales team and our partner relationships. Your expertise in CRM/ERP and SaaS industries will ensure that you are at the cutting edge of thought leadership and can articulately represent Queplix at industry events.

Responsibilities:
- Direct and coordinate company Business Development and Sales functions.
- Develop and coordinate sales selling cycle and methodology.
- Direct and oversee the company business development function to identify and develop new customers for our products and services.
- Research and develop strategies and plans which identify opportunities to pursue generating tactical revenue and strategic partnership relationships.
- Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of sales, methods, costs, and results.
- Develop and manage internal operating budgets supporting your activities.
- Directly manage major and critical developing client accounts, and coordinate the management of all other accounts.
- Participate in the development of new project proposals.
- Establish and implement short- and long-range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
- Participate in the planning and development of company communications materials.
- Represent the company at various community and/or business meetings to promote the company.
- Supervise the preparation, issuance, and delivery of sales materials, exhibits, and promotion programs.
- Promote positive relations with partners, vendors, and distributors.
- Recommend and administer policies and procedures to enhance operations.
- Establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
- Serve on planning and policy-making committees.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of business development experience in a startup environment.
- Experience in strategic business development planning and execution. Knowledge of structuring complex deals, negotiations, contracting and deal flow management.
- Experience in planning BD marketing strategies and campaigns.
- Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects. Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
- Startup experience in a fast paced highly motivated environment.
- Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.
