Where are your offices? Who can we speak with?

You may contact our sales, systems engineering and professional services teams through our main switchboard in California. We have three major regional entities within the United States which also cover Canada. There is a regional executive in charge of operations within those geographies and they manage all teams and resources in the field. They can make sure you get the right help you need and would love to hear from you. We are establishing our representation around the world at this time and expect to be introducing key partners in Asia, South America, Europe (United Kingdom) and the Middle East very shortly. In some areas we also have Value Added Resellers (VARS) which are available for support and sales.

What is the break through technology in your system?

First, we operate in a 100% object oriented paradigm and make it easy to bring objects and relational entities together. This is what lets us solve the cloud integration problems so elegantly. Objects, relational, xml ... it all looks the same in our dashboard and that's what makes integration so simple. We do this through data virtualization and we've added our own special additions to uniquely empower our products. All of our technology can be provided in a cloud based saas model with our QueCloud, or we can provide a VMWare® based instance for you to install on-premise.

Second, our architecture is based upon a persistent metadata server - a powerful new class of software infrastructure that drives advanced data virtualization. We can easily scale beyond point integrations and ETL limitations to build out multi-application virtualization for master data management, business intelligence, data warehouse and data mart population and much, much more.

Third, in our newest systems, QueCloud and our on-premise Queplix Virtual Data Manager, do not require the use of SQL or programming. None at all. Advanced data virtualization unlocks your from legacy proprietary tools like SQL and opens up the power of the system for business users.

What is absolutely compelling and unique about Queplix? Why is your product a "must have" for my company?

Queplix products a strong return on investment in the reduction of costs and time for the implementation of data integration. The more complicated the integration the more we will save you. These savings can be on the order of 75% or more.

In the long term we enable true data mobility. We free your most important asset (next to your employees), your business information, and we enable you to re-purpose it easily from one application system to another.

What is data virtualization? What is advanced data virtualization?

Data Virtualization is presentation of data as an abstract layer, independent of underlying database systems, structures and storage. That abstraction is the core of the definition of data virtualization and key to the automation, power and ease-of-use of any of our solutions. There are four key components to basic data virtualization:

Virtualized – accessible in one place through metadata;
Abstracted – into one consistent format (object);
Federated – connectivity allows you to pull data together (globalization); and
Presentation – allows formatting for consuming applications.

Basic data virtualization introduces the concept of separating the data from the applications. This unlocks proprietary data locked in old, legacy applications. Some of this is packaged as middleware data federation.

Advanced data virtualization takes this further by separating the proprietary tools from the applications, by eliminating the use of SQL. Advanced data virtualization also wraps the architecture around a persistent metadata server. The persistent metadata server core extends the power of the system in many ways to integrate with more data sources and scale to enteprise levels.
Advanced data virtualization also converts everything to objects in the dashboard – instead of working with a relational view of the world an object view more easily enables the integration of disparate sources. Further advanced data virtualization enables globalization – a concept which leverages the power of virtual fields and virtual entites.

All of this enables companies to securely integrate and deploy business intelligence, cloud, SaaS-based and on-premise applications and data with speed, simplicity and automation. Critical customer, product and financial data can be integrated across applications in hours and then the consistency of data managed automatically. This speed, simplicity and high degree of automation deliver strong return on investment and can reduce your application integration and data management expense by over 75% for a single integration. We bring even more substantial value to business intelligence where customers tell us we can reduce the time for implementation by up to 90%. Each additional integration brings greater savings and return on investment.

How can you do this when others have been unable to do this?

The basic architecture is very different from any other approach.
We started and designed, from the ground up, to deliver a persistent metadata server. When the first system was in prototype everyone started to feel the disruptive power this technology could exert across a multitude of information technology problems. Only 10 to 15 short years ago you did not wake up and say "I'm going to order three application servers...." Yet a few years later you did (!)

What really differentiates data virtualization?
There are several major areas of differentiation and each brings many additional components of differentiation. In short, these areas include automation, user interface and architecture. Architecture enables much more detailed differentiation which we can explain feature by feature. Our architecture enables us to improve upon the features for basic data virtualization, the advanced data virtualization features that only we provide and finally the Intelligent Data Management™ and Data Harmonization™ which is unique to Queplix.

There is a detailed discussion on this in several of our blogs and here in our website - you can find it here in the technology advantage page. Also see our video’s – there is a comparison of our QueCloud™ (Virtual Data Manager™ and ETL as well as a report from IdealNet (ask us for a copy).
The essence of our magic is our persistent metadata directory – technically, we are a persistent metadata server with additional workflow for harmonization, security and data management. We turn everything into an object model – most other systems are limited by the internal limitation of working with SQL. That, and our knack for building great UI and wrapping it up with well thought out automation have worked magic. We're excited about our technology and we're out to change the way the world integrates and manages their data. We have some companies and customers Really Excited about what they can do with Queplix. Our engineering team is building products which they are convinced will change the architecture of data centers in the future.

Who else can tell me more about data virtualization and how it contrasts with traditional application and data integration using ETL, EAI, EII and middleware tools?

Download our white paper on this topic - register for our technical library and find out how advanced data virtualization compares to these other technologies. ETL teams love our technology - try our system and find out why. We reduce setup and labor with our automation over 75%. We can scale far beyond point solutions. And all without using any SQL.

What is your vision for the future?

It is our consistent view that data integration at the lowest level of scale and data management at the highest level of scale should be viewed as one problem as opposed to two problems. They are part of a continuum that includes the need for data integration that scales from integrating any two applications, to then integrating most of the major applications within an enterprise and then perhaps to the completed implementation of what we would describe as Virtual Master Data Management™ (note 1).

Beyond data integration, your visibility and management of your data is key and also part of this continuum. Your data and the key information that organizes your data (your metadata) are part of key visibility for your enterprise that need to be unlocked from proprietary vendor structures and made visible for the benefit of your enterprise. The links that integrate this data need full visibility. You need to see and understand the transforms that tie any two applications together and scale that visibility through a view to your enterprise that allows you a unified view to your data quality, data governance and data compliance.

Advanced data virtualization can uniquely present an enterprise-wide vision for data integration and data visibility at all levels of scale, from a single point implementation to a full enterprise wide deployment. No other technology can do this. This positions advanced data virtualization as a new, powerful, and disruptive technology with broad sweeping implications for the future of information technology management. Please refer to our video "Vision For The Future of Data Integration" on our home page.

Note 1: Virtual Master Data Management™ is also called VMDM™ or Virtual MDM™. All three are trademarks of Queplix, Inc.

How easily can I set up the system? Do I need to hire SQL consultants and plan on several man months of implementation?

Very easily. And absolutely not. Set-up will be fairly easy. And no, you don't need to speak SQL. We're object oriented and we make life easy for you. Think about solving business problems. Breathe in the good air. Think less about drawing wiring diagrams between SQL tables, setting up a meeting down the hall to figure out what that database schema really looks like and breathe out the bad air. Life can be much better and the IT and line of business teams can be much more productive. And look, we all know SQL and we appreciate it. It’s a philosophical difference and we give you freedom of choice. Our automation makes it easy, if you have just the security permissions, to get a large jump on a problem that would ordinarily tie you up for weeks and perhaps months.
