Case Study - Fortune 500 Company

This Case Study outlines another deployment of Queplix® solution in the United States for a Fortune-500 retail chain. This customer had requirements to continue using their legacy Vantive® HR system but requested the option of moving the data out of this system when it was comfortable to do so. Like many legacy Vantive users today, they wanted to migrate off the system at some point but did not want to spend millions on a massive data conversion project. Queplix technology makes it easy to support Vantive and other legacy systems data migrations by liquefying the information through virtualization and making the data easily and universally portable and accessible through our persistent metadata server. The customer also has an extensively customized CRM application that works very well for them and they are extending this system to the internal cloud. As part of the deployment strategy the customer business analysts have predefined "data elements of truth" in the SAP® system that had to be aligned across different operational environments: CRM, HR and internal Operations. Business Intelligence was ideal gateway for the customer to view and access this data.

Virtual Data Manager™ was deployed and the customer's business analysts and line of business personnel were able to securely view the data through their standard BI installation within hours.

The customer is currently in the process of expanding the Queplix solution by adding more data sources and integrating them with the Virtual Data Manager deployment, increasing the effectiveness of their Business Intelligence strategy.
