QueWeb Customer Care Suite
The
upcoming QueWeb Customer Care Suite 3.0 will be available in three versions:
- QueWeb Open Source
- QueWeb Professional and
- QueWeb Enterprise
Queplix provides Open Source Software (OSS)
for the Customer Care industry. Queplix enables large and medium companies to
provide superior customer care. Queplix complete Customer Care software,
QueWeb, facilitates all Customer Care processes that occur after the customer
acquisition, where traditional CRM software vendors typically drop off. Queplix
targets companies that see superior customer care as essential and critical part
of their business.
Increasing globalization is challenging more and more companies to build their
competitive advantages on the basis of providing superior Customer Care and by
creating a superior overall Customer Experience. Continuing pressure to enhance
competitiveness, yet contain costs, has led to the rapid acceptance of open
source vendors and developer communities. These forces, together with some
skillful execution, are helping to position Queplix as the leader in the
Commercial Open Source Customer Care industry.
Queplix Technology
QueWeb is an open-source application that is based on Java (J2EE) platform. It
leverages the latest enterprise-grade infrastructure technology. It is the first
application to utilize Google open-source technology. QueWeb is a server
application, with access to the products functionality being completely
browser-based. As a result, there is no software to download to a client (it is
web-based and not merely web-enabled), can be very easily customized to the
specific needs of the customer, is easily integrated with other applications the
customer may have, and is Web Portal ready.
QueWeb is comprised of flexible software modules that can be configured
out-of-the-box to provide a customer with a range of different automated
functionality. Further, in addition to configuration options, each individual
module can be easily customized to provide for the execution of business
processes that are proprietary and unique to the enterprise. While Queplix
competitors offer proprietary, closed-core solutions, that force companies to
adopt their business practices to software rules and limitations, Queplix
technology allows companies the ability to adapt QueWeb software to
company-specific business models. This unique ability is what sets Queplix apart
from its competition.
Ease of customization is an important feature because, unlike a lower end retail
product, virtually every medium-sized or large customer purchases a package and
then immediately begins to tailor its functionality to reflect the way that
customer prefers to conduct business. This tailoring most often requires
significant amounts of coding and is conducted by programmers within the
customers IT organization, or as a service by the vendors or related third
parties (such as System Integrators, Independent Software Vendors and sometimes
VARs) or a combination of both.
Benefits of Open Source
- The right to use the software in any way. This, combined with redistribution
rights, ensures a large population of users, which helps in turn to build up a
market for support and customization of the software, which can only attract
more and more developers to work in the project. This in turn helps to improve
the quality of the product, and to improve its functionality. Which, once more,
will cause more and more users to give the product a try, and to use it
regularly.
- There is no single entity on which the
future of the software depends. This is a very common concern with
proprietary software.
- No ``black boxes'' are possible. This
point is so important that open source is now considered by many experts as
one of the necessary conditions for dependable applications. By having the
source code available, it is possible to perform a thorough inspection and
verify the correctness of the algorithm and the implementation scheme used.
- Software can be freely modified, and
current code base can be used to start new projects. Working knowledge can
be gathered at a minimal cost. In addition, the right to freely modify
software allows for the incredible expansion in the number of communication
protocols and systems, each perfectly tailored to the needs of their users.
This is also a reason for the overwhelming success of
open-source business applications, which are starting to be widely used by
companies around the world and are rapidly stealing market share from
proprietary software vendors.
QueWeb Architecture
Today, QueWeb is a mature product and comprises of multiple integrated modules
facilitating all aspects of Customer Care as well as enabling open integration.
By using a-la-carte approach in selecting various modules, Customers can choose
only modules that they need and add others as their business evolves and needs
change.
These variations are structured around a framework Core (QueCore). Module sets
are then assembled around the Foundation to provide more specific functionality.
By adding other optional and custom developed modules, the nature of the
application can easily be evolved to the exact needs of each customer.
Queplix approach to QueWebs architecture has resulted in a clear separation of
presentation from content data, while providing enhanced performance for the web
interface. Data is transformed and stored as XML in QueWebs database.
